Manish Pandey made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians in the inaugural season of the tournament. He played in three matches in which he got out for a duck in his first match, scored three runs in the second, and didn’t get to bat in the third.
The following year, he represented the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise and performed brilliantly in the few opportunities that he received. Pandey scored his maiden IPL century in 2009 and became the first Indian to do so in the tournament. In 2010, Pandey couldn’t live up to his previous performances and had a batting average and strike rate of 20.75 and 110.17, respectively.
In 2011, the newly introduced IPL franchise, Pune Warriors India, signed the young Indian talent. In the three years he spent playing for PWI, Pandey was not able to shine and play up to his potential. His batting average remained in the 20s and his strike rate could not touch 130. Following the 2014 Auction, Pandey’s fortunes changed after getting picked by the Kolkata Knight Riders. Manish Pandey has played for seven different teams in 16 years of his IPL career and his highest bidding price was INR 11 crore which was paid by SRH for four years.

Manish Pandey first appeared in the maiden IPL season when he was included in the squad of Mumbai Indians, after featuring in just three games he moved to Royal Challengers Banglore in 2009 and scored a brilliant century. Manish Pandey’s IPL Auction Price
In the inaugural season of the IPL, Manish Pandey was picked up by the Mumbai Indians at his base price of Rs. 6 lakhs. Then, in 2009, Manish was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 12 lakhs. The following year, he was retained by his franchise after performing brilliantly in the limited opportunities he was provided. He was later released in 2011 and was sold to the newly formed franchise, Pune Warriors India, for INR 20 lakhs.
After spending three years he moved to Kolkata Knight Riders for a handsome amount of INR 1.70 Crores and stayed there till 2018. In 2018, Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him for a whopping INR 11 Crores, the third-highest buy of the season, and played for the franchise until the mega auction in 2022. The new IPL franchise, Lucknow Super Giants, bought Manish Pandey for INR 4.60 Crores and next year Delhi Capitals bought the Indian batter for INR 2.40 Crores.
