2024 T20 World Cup semifinals: Schedule, venues, IST timings and live streaming details

Following the conclusion of the Super 8 round, India, Afghanistan, South Africa, and England have qualified for the semifinals of the ICC Men’s 2024 T20 World Cup. Australia, Bangladesh, West Indies, and United States, who were also part of the Super 8 round, have been knocked out of the tournament.

In the Super 8 stage, the eight qualifying teams were divided into two groups of four sides each. India, Afghanistan, Australia, and Bangladesh were placed in Group 1, while South Africa, England, West Indies, and United States were part of Group 2.

The Men in Blue topped Group 1, winning all three of their matches. They beat Afghanistan by 47 runs, Bangladesh by 50 runs and Australia by 24 runs. Afghanistan claimed the second spot in Group 1 by virtue of their triumphs over Australia and Bangladesh.

Looking at Group 2, the Proteas clinched the top spot by registering wins over United States, England and West Indies. Defending champions England clinched the second spot with four points. They beat the Windies in a must-win game to book their berth in the knockouts.

T20 World Cup 2024 semifinals schedule

Looking at the semis line-up for the ICC Men's 2024 T20 World Cup, South Africa will face Afghanistan in the first semifinal at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad on June 26 (June 27 IST). In the second semifinal, to be played on June 27, India will take on England at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.
