2024 T20 World Cup top run-getters and wicket-takers after Afghanistan vs India match (Updated) ft. Suryakumar Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah

Afghanistan took on India in the 43rd match of the 2024 T20 World Cup on Thursday, June 20, at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. The Men in Blue won the toss and elected to bat.

Suryakumar Yadav led the batting attack of India. His innings of 53 runs off 28 deliveries helped India post 181 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Fazalhaq Farooqi and Rashid Khan took three wickets each for Afghanistan.

Afghanistan were bundled out for 134 runs and lost the match by 47 runs. Azmatullah Omarzai was the only batter who surpassed the 20-run mark and scored 26 runs off 20 deliveries. Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah picked three wickets each for India. Kuldeep Yadav finished with two wickets for 32 runs in four overs. Suryakumar won the Player of the Match award.
