2024 T20 World Cup top run-getters and wicket-takers after Canada vs Ireland match (Updated) ft. Nicholas Kirton & Jeremy Gordon

Canada faced Ireland in the 13th match of the 2024 T20 World Cup on Friday, June 7, at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Ireland won the toss and elected to bowl.

Nicholas Kirton emerged as the highest scorer for Canada, scoring 49 runs off 35 deliveries. His innings helped the team post a total of 137 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Shreyas Movva made 37 runs off 36 deliveries. Craig Young and Barry McCarthy picked two wickets each for Ireland.

Ireland managed just 31 runs in the Power Play and lost the wicket of Paul Stirling. George Dockrell and Mark Adair made 30-plus runs each for Ireland. However, it wasn't enough as Ireland scored 125 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

Canada won the match by 12 runs. Jeremy Gordon and Dillon Heyliger picked two wickets each for Canada. Nicholas Kirton won the Player of the Match award for his batting performance.
