The much-awaited final of the T20 World Cup 2024 will see Team India square off against South Africa at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday, June 29. The Men in Blue won the T20 title in the inaugural edition in 2007, while the Proteas are yet to lift the trophy. This is their first final appearance in the T20 World Cup.

South Africa crashed Afghanistan on their way to the final. They bowled out the Afghans for 56 runs before chasing it down in just 8.5 overs to make it to the final. Aiden Markram and company are unbeaten in the competition and will be desperate to strip off their 'chokers' tag and take home an ICC trophy.

India also had a relatively easy semi-final outing against defending champions England on Thursday. In a rain-marred contest, Rohit Sharma and company bowled out England for 103 after posting 171/7 on the board to win by 68 runs. The Men in Blue also haven't lost a match in this campaign and will be desperate to win their first ICC trophy since the 2013 Champions Trophy.

With two undefeated teams going up against each other for the silverware, a cracking contest beckons fans in Barbados and they are expected to turn up in massive numbers despite it being a day game.

According to Accuweather, the temperature will hover between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius throughout the game. However, due to high humidity, the actual feeling would be around 35 degrees Celsius.

There are thunderstorms predicted in the lead-up to the game, which might delay the start. The forecast suggests heavy rainfall during the game times, with chances of thunderstorms in the latter half of the game.

However, fans shouldn't worry much since there is a reserve day for the final. If the match doesn't get completed on Saturday, it will be played on the next day, i.e. Sunday to attain a result.
