Shaik Rasheed's lone battle in vain as Rayalaseema Kings beat Coastal Riders

The Kings won the toss and elected to field against the Riders. Shaik Rasheed, the skipper of the Riders provided a solid start to the team. However, he received no decent support from the other end. No batter managed to cross the 20-run mark for the team.

Rasheed remained unbeaten on 87 off 57. His knock helped the Riders to 149-7 in 20 overs. Satyanarayana Raju and Bodhala Kumar were the pick of the bowlers for the defending champions. Raju picked up two wickets for 29 runs in four overs, while Kumar took two wickets for 13 runs in two overs.

Kogatam Haneesh Reddy and Prasanth Kumar provided a fiery start to the Kings, adding 51 runs for the first wicket in 5.3 overs. Roshan Kumar, the impact player, scored a quick 47 off 24. He had a partnership of 52 for the second wicket with Prasanth.

Roshan departed after missing out on a well-deserved half-century in the 12th over. Thanneru Vamsi Krishna and Thota Sravan remained unbeaten and helped the team cross the line against the Coastal Riders. Krishna made 21 off 13, while Sravan scored 16 off 13. The Kings reached their target of 150 in 15 overs with seven wickets in hand.

Karthik Raman was the most successful bowler for the Riders and took two wickets for 33 runs in three overs. Rashid won the Player of the Match for his outstanding batting performance.
