The 17th match of the Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League 2024 saw the Shrachi Rarh Tigers beat the Sobisco Smashers Malda convincingly. The 18th match between the Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers and Harbour Diamonds was washed out due to rain.

The Murshidabad Kueens continue to top the table with four wins in as many games. They have a net run rate of +1.128. The Shrachi Rarh Tigers have moved to the second spot after taking their points tally to eight and a net run rate to +0.523.

The Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers are placed third in the points table with seven points to their name. Below them sit the Harbour Diamonds who have five points under their belt. The Sobisco Smashers Malda follow the Diamonds with four points.

The Rashmi Medinipur Wizards have two points under their belt and sit sixth in the points table with a net run rate of -0.010. The Adamas Howrah Warriors also have six points and follow the Wizards after having a net run rate of -0.369.

The Servotech Siliguri Strikers have lost all their four games so far. They have a net run rate of -0.786 and are languishing at the bottom of the points table.

Shrachi Rarh Tigers grab their 4th win of the Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League 2024

In the 17th match of the Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League 2024, the Shrachi Rarh Tigers were asked to bat first. On the back of 43 from skipper Ankita Chakraborty, they posted 101 on the board. Piyali Ghosh bowled beautifully for Sobisco Smashers Malda and registered figures of 3/12.

In reply, the Smashers’ batters failed to get going. Only three of their batters got into double digits, with Hrishita Basu top-scoring with 18 as they finished their innings on 73/9 to lose the game by 28 runs.

It was a collective effort from the Shrachi Rarh Tigers bowlers. Chandrima Biswas, Rupal Tiwari and Remondina Khatun picked up two wickets each as they defended the total successfully. With this, the Shrachi Rarh Tigers grabbed their fourth win in the competition.

The rain played spoilsport in the 18th match of the Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League 2024. The Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers opted to bat first and got off to a disastrous start as they were reeling at 35/6 in the 11th over before the rain arrived.

Due to persistent rain, no further play was possible. As a result, the match officials decided to call off the game. Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers and Harbour Diamonds shared a point each. The Diamonds will feel disappointed as they were in an outstanding position in the game.
