The 15th match of the Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League 2024 saw the Shrachi Rarh Tigers beat the Rashmi Medinipur Wizards comprehensively. In the 16th match, the Murshidabad Kueens defeated the Sobisco Smashers Malda.

The Murshidabad Kueens jumped to the top spot in the points table after grabbing their fourth consecutive win in the Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League 2024. The Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers follow the Kueens with six points to their name and a net run rate of +0.965.

The Shrachi Rarh Tigers also have six points under their belt but sit below the Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers with a net run rate of +0.3. The Harbour Diamonds have two wins and as many losses and are placed fourth in the points table with a net run rate of -0.156.

The Sobisco Smashers Malda follow the Diamonds with a run rate of -1.111. They also have four points under their belt. The Rashmi Medinipur Wizards suffered their third loss of the competition and remain at the sixth position with two points and net run rate of -0.010.

Adamas Howrah Warriors are placed below the Wizards. They also have two points to their name and have a net run rate of -0.369. The Servotech Siliguri Strikers are reeling at the bottom of the points table. They have played four games so far and are yet to register a single win.


Murshidabad Kueens stay unbeaten in the Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League 2024

In the 16th match of the Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League 2024, the Murshidabad Kueens were asked to bat first. On the back of contributions from Ritika Pal (27) and Adrija Sarkar (27), they posted 122 on the board. Riya Kumari Mahato and Piyali Ghosh grabbed two wickets each for the Sobisco Smashers Malda.

In reply, the Smashers faltered. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and finished their innings on 73/8 to lose the fixture by 49 runs. Priyanka Sarkar bowled beautifully for the Murshidabad Kueens and registered figures of 4/15 which helped them stay unbeaten in the competition.

In the 15th match, the Rashmi Medinipur Wizards batted first and posted 107 on the board, with Trishita Sarkar top-scoring with 39. The Shrachi Rarh Tigers Wizards picked up six wickets in total, with Remondina Khatun finishing with two.

Skipper Ankita Chakraborty led from the front for the Shrachi Rarh Tigers. She scored a match-winning 67 off 57 balls to take her side home in the 18th over with seven wickets in hand. The Rashmi Medinipur Wizards’ bowlers tried hard but failed to defend the total.
