IND vs SA match officials list: Who are the umpires for the India vs South Africa 2024 T20 World Cup final?

Team India will take on South Africa in the ICC Men's 2024 T20 World Cup final at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados on Saturday, June 29. Both teams are unbeaten in the tournament so far and have deservedly made it to the final.

The Proteas were the first side to book their place in the summit clash of the event. They thumped Afghanistan by nine wickets at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad in the first semifinal. In the second semifinal, the Men in Blue got the better of defending champions England by 68 runs in Guyana.

Meanwhile, the ICC on Friday, confirmed the list of match officials for the 2024 T20 World Cup final between India and South Africa in Barbados. Christopher Gaffaney and Richard Illingworth will be the on-field umpires. Richard Kettleborough has been named as the third umpire, while Rod Tucker has been given the duties of the fourth umpire. Richie Richardson would be the match referee for the final.

The 2024 T20 World Cup final between India and South Africa in Barbados will begin at 10:30 AM local time, 8:00 PM IST and 2:30 PM GMT.


India, South Africa's road to the 2024 T20 World Cup final

Team India progressed to the Super 8 round by topping Group A, winning three of their four matches, while one game was abandoned. The Men in Blue beat Ireland by eight wickets, Pakistan by six runs and United States by seven wickets.

In the Super 8 stage, India again finished on top in Group 1. They began their Super 8 campaign with a 47-run win over Afghanistan. In their next match, they beat Bangladesh by 50 runs. Team India maintained their unbeaten run with a 24-run triumph over Australia before the semifinal victory over England.

South Africa had some nervous moments in Group D, but ended up winning all their four games. They beat Sri Lanka by six wickets, Netherlands by four wickets, Bangladesh by four runs and Nepal by one run.

In the Super 8 stage, the Proteas topped Group 2. They staved off resistance from United States to register an 18-run win. In their next match, they beat England by seven runs and then sneaked home to a three-wicket win over West Indies. South Africa had it rather easy in the semifinal, crushing a hapless Afghanistan.
