Rewa Jaguars topped the MP T20 points table after a 65-run victory over Malwa Panthers. Jabalpur Lions defeated Bhopal Leopards and secured the second position with an NRR of 2.003.

Rewa Jaguars leads with a massive win; Jabalpur Lions find maiden success

Jabalpur Lions elected to bowl first in the first game against Bhopal Leopards. Leopards’ innings ended at 173/6 thanks to Harsh Gawali’s 46-run knock in the top order assisted by Arshad Khan (32 off 12) and Kamal Tripathi (34 off 17) in the lower.

Tripuresh Singh and Puneet Datey picked up two wickets each for the Lions while Aryan Pandey and Ankur Singh Chauhan took one apiece.

In reply, Jabalpur comfortably chased the target in 16.2 overs. Arpit Gaud played a captain’s knock of 77 runs in just 32 deliveries, featuring six fours and as many sixes. Kanishk Dubey also backed him in the top order with a 30-ball 40-run knock.

Mihir Hirwani clipped in two wickets while Mangesh Yadav and Arshad claimed one each.

In the second match, Rewa Jaguars had amassed a 196-run total for the loss of five wickets. Prithviraj Singh Tomar (77 off 42) led the batting department with Himanshu Mantri (68 off 49). Shubham Rathore (14), Harsh Dixit (13), and Vikrant Bhadoriya also added some crucial runs to the total.

On the bowling front, Harshwardhan Singh and Lucky Mishra each took two wickets for the Malwa Panthers.

In response, the Panthers struggled and were restricted to 131/9, with no batter exceeding 18 runs. Shivam Shukla was the chief destroyer, claiming three wickets, while Kulwant Khejroliya and Kumar Kartikeya took two wickets each. Kuldeep Sen and Vikrant Bhadoriya also chipped in with a wicket apiece.
