Team India will lock horns with Australia in their final Super 8 game of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in St. Lucia on Monday, June 24. Both teams will look to win this game to confirm their semi-final berth (although the Aussies would still have to wait for the result of the Afghanistan-Bangladesh match).

The Men in Blue have dominated the tournament so far, winning five games on the trot. They won three group matches, while the other one was washed out before emerging victorious in two Super 8 fixtures. They will look to keep their winning run going and confirm their place in the top four.

Australia, meanwhile, were stunned by Afghanistan in their previous fixture. They failed to chase down 149 runs and suffered a 21-run defeat. Mitchell Marsh and company will be desperate to bounce back and beat India to keep their semi-final hopes alive.

The clash of the titans will see a huge turnout at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium. However, the conditions look gloomy in St. Lucia with heavy rainfall in the forecast. The city witnessed showers yesterday and it will likely be the same today as well.

According to AccuWeather, there are chances of thunderstorms in the lead-up to the game. There will be steady rainfall during the game with chances of thunderstorms during the fag end as well. It will be mostly cloudy and conditions will be overcast. Thus, a delayed encounter is anticipated and a washout is also on the cards.
