"Taking a page out of my book"- Wrestling legend Ric Flair reacts to Rohit Sharma's celebration after winning T20 World Cup 2024 trophy

16-time WWE world champion Ric Flair noticed Rohit Sharma's celebration after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy. India defeated South Africa by seven runs in the T20 World Cup final in Barbados on Saturday, June 29.

Based on Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav's suggestion, Rohit tried to imitate Lionel Messi's celebration after Argentina won the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Wrestling legend Ric Flair, however, felt that the Indian captain mimicked his way of walking to the ring. During his wrestling days, Flair would walk in a similar manner to mock his opponent or to celebrate in the ring.

Sharing a video of Rohit walking in that way along with his entrance music, Ric Flair wrote on X:

"@IMRo45 Taking A Page Out Of My Playbook! WOOOOO!"

Ric Flair added his catchphrase "Wooooooooo!" as text on the video of Rohit and Team India. The tweet has gone viral, receiving more than 16,000 likes inside two hours.

Rohit Sharma has received a gift from WWE in the past

WWE is the biggest pro wrestling promotion on earth, based out of the USA. Back in 2017, when the Mumbai Indians won the IPL trophy under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, WWE sent a customized version of the WWE World Championship to the MI skipper.

It had custom sideplates with the Mumbai Indians team logo. Posing with the WWE title, Rohit had written on Instagram in 2017:

"This is unreal thank you Triple-H and @wwe for sending this."

While Rohit responded to WWE in 2017, he is yet to react to the video posted by Ric Flair. It will be interesting to see how the Hitman replies to the Nature Boy for the edited clip posted by him on X. Earlier today, Rohit posted a selfie of himself from his hotel room with the T20 World Cup trophy placed right next to him.
