A video is going viral on social media, which claims that senior Indian batter Virat Kohli showed the impact of Hurricane Beryl in Barbados to his actor-wife Anushka Sharma during a video call.

The Indian team, which won the 2024 T20 World Cup by beating South Africa in the final on June 29, is stuck in Barbados due to the hurricane. As per media reports, the Men in Blue contingent is expect to fly out from Barbados on Tuesday evening [local time] and reach Delhi on Wednesday 7:45 PM [IST].

Meanwhile, a video is doing the rounds on social media in which Kohli is seen with a mobile in hand. From the clip, it is very clear that he is on a video call with someone. It is, however, not clear who he is interacting with. A Kohli fan club, which shared the viral video, claimed that the star was interacting with his wife and showing her the impact of Hurricane Beryl.

Earlier in the day, Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley told news agency PTI that said she expected the airport to become operational in the 'next six to 12 hours', paving the way for Indian players' return to their homeland. After arriving in Delhi, the T20 World Cup-winning members are likely to meet PM Narendra Modi.

Virat Kohli overcame poor form to top score in the 2024 T20 World Cup final

Heading into the 2024 T20 World Cup final against South Africa in Barbados, Kohli has struggled to make an impact. He had only managed 75 runs in seven innings, with a best of 37. The 35-year-old was the top-scorer in the final, hitting 76 off 59 balls. He struck six fours and two sixes in his knock, adding a crucial 72 runs for the fourth wicket with Axar Patel, who contributed 47 off 31 balls. The former India captain's half-century guided India to a competitive total of 176-7. The bowlers then did a great job to restrict South Africa to 169-8 as the Men in Blue pulled off a famous win.

Following Team India's triumph in the 2024 T20 World Cup final, Kohli announced his retirement from T20Is. In a stellar career, the 35-year-old scored 4188 runs in 117 innings at an average of 48.69 and a strike rate of 137.04, with one hundred and 38 fifties to his credit.
