Ambani family felicitated India captain Rohit Sharma, vice-captain Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav during Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's sangeet ceremony at Jio World Convention Centre in Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai on Saturday, July 6. That came after Rohit Sharma and Co. ended India’s 11-year-long ICC trophy drought.
It was the sixth ICC trophy for the Men in Blue – two T20 World Cups (2007 & 2024), two ODI World Cups (1983 & 2011) and two Champions Trophies (2002 & 2013).
In a video shared by Mumbai Indians (MI) on X, franchise owner Nita Ambani called players individually as the audience cheered them with a rousing reception. MI captioned the post:
“Mrs. Nita Ambani summed up Team India's brilliant campaign as they stood against the odds in the #T20WorldCup and emerged as the undisputed champions.”
