Virat Kohli smashed a mammoth six off Marco Jansen which went out of the ground during the 2024 T20 World Cup final between India and South Africa at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday, June 29. The stunning shot came in the 19th over of India's innings.
The right-hander made the most of a length ball by clearing his front leg to deposit it well over long-on for a 95-meter six. The ball hit the stadium’s roof before bouncing out of the ground. A new ball was called in, which led to his wicket on the next delivery.
Sharing the video on Instagram, the International Cricket Council (ICC) captioned the post:
“Kohli sends it high, handsome, and out of the ground.”

Virat Kohli starred with the bat for the Men in Blue in the final, scoring 76 runs off 59 balls, comprising two maximums and six boundaries. He shared a 72 and 57-run partnership with Axar Patel and Shivam Dube for the fourth and fifth wicket, respectively.
He had previously managed just 75 runs in his last seven innings at the mega ICC event.

A clinical batting display from Virat Kohli helped India post 176/7 against South Africa in the 2024 T20 World Cup final. Axar Patel and Shivam Dube also chipped in with 47 (31) and 27 (16), respectively.
Keshav Maharaj and Anrich Nortje emerged as the leading wicket-taker for the Proteas, picking up two wickets apiece, while Marco Jansen and Kagiso Rabada bagged one wicket each.
India are chasing their only second T20 World Cup title after winning the inaugural edition in 2007. The Rohit Sharma-led side will be keen to end the Men in Blue’s ICC drought since the 2013 Champions Trophy.
On the other hand, Proteas are chasing their first T20 World Cup title. They have the 1998 Champions Trophy as their only trophy in ICC events.
