While the performances of players from both sides will determine the destiny of the two semifinalists, the umpires will also have a huge role to play in the knockout game and will also be under a lot of pressure given the big occasion.

If we talk about match officials for the second semifinal of the 2024 T20 World Cup between India and England, ICC's official release confirmed that Chris Gaffaney and Rodney Tucker would be the on-field umpires. What will happen if the India vs England T20 World Cup 2024 semifinal is washed out?

The umpires might be in the thick of action in the second semifinal between India and England as the T20 World Cup clash could be affected by the weather. According to predictions, there are chances of rain during the game in Guyana.

There is no reserve day for the second semifinal since the final of the ICC event is scheduled to be played in Barbados on June 29. However, an additional time of 250 minutes have been allotted to try and finish the game. A minimum of 10 overs per innings need to be bowled for a result in the knockout match.

In case there is no result in the second semifinal of the 2024 T20 World Cup due to weather or other reasons, India will qualify for the final by virtue of having finished higher in their group in the Super 8 round.
