Team India will take on South Africa in the 2024 T20 World Cup final at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados on Saturday, June 29. The summit clash of the tournament will begin at 10:30 AM local time, which is 8:00 PM IST and 2:30 PM GMT. Both India and South Africa are unbeaten in the World Cup.

The Men in Blue clinched their berth in the final by beating England by 68 runs in Guyana in the second semifinal. Earlier, the Proteas hammered Afghanistan by nine wickets in the first semifinal in Trinidad. While there is plenty of excitement over the India-South Africa final, rain could play spoilsport. In case of no result in the summit clash, India and South Africa would be declared joint winners.

If rain affects the 2024 T20 World Cup final, the ICC has set various playing conditions to try and achieve a result. A minimum of 10 overs per side need to be bowled for a result in the India vs South Africa final in Barbados. There is also a reserve day in place [June 30] in case the match cannot be completed on the scheduled day of the contest.

As per clause 13.7.3.6 of ICC's playing conditions for the 2024 T20 World Cup final, an extra time of 190 minutes has been allocated to the final and also to its reserve day. While there is a reserve day in place, every effort will be made to complete the match on Saturday itself. Clause 13.6.2.2. of ICC's playing conditions for the 2024 World Cup state:

"If the reserve day is allocated, every effort will be made to complete the match on the scheduled day with any necessary reduction in overs taking place and only if the minimum number of overs necessary to constitute a match cannot be bowled on the scheduled day will the match be completed on the reserve day."

There was no reserve day for the second semifinal of the 2024 T20 World Cup between India and England in Guyana. However, an extra 250 minutes was allocated to the scheduled day of the knockout clash.
