Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) have both been competing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since 2008. However, the Bengaluru-based team is yet to win its first IPL title, as of April 2025. On the other hand, RR won the IPL title in the inaugural season of the IPL in 2008. RCB, captained by Rajat Patidar, started their IPL 2025 campaign on a perfect note, registering a seven-wicket victory over defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders. RR, captained by Sanju Samson, suffered two back-to-back defeats in their first two IPL 2025 games. The two teams locked horns against each other at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on April 13. RCB won the game quite convincingly in the end by nine wickets, while chasing a target of 174. The two teams will later play against each other at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on April 24, 2025.
