Travis Head is an Australian opening batter who has nailed the art of T20 batting with his crucial boundaries. He has represented multiple teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL) but found his mojo with the bat at the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2024. Head returned to the IPL’s scheme of things after seven years and struck the right chord with the Orange Army. Travis Head IPL Teams from 2015-25
Travis Head was part of the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) squad in the IPL 2015 season, but he did not get to play a game. According to The Times Of India, Travis Head was bought by the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) for INR 30 lakhs in the IPL 2015 auction. In the subsequent auction, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (now Royal Challengers Bengaluru) signed Travis Head for INR 50 lakhs. In the IPL 2024 mini-auction, the Sunrisers Hyderabad grabbed Head for INR 6.80 crore after a bidding war with the Chennai Super Kings. According to the official social media handle of the IPL, Head has been retained by SRH for INR 14 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.
