Tips to keep EA FC 25 Player Career Mode fun

1) Choose the right club for a good start

One of the first and most important decisions in the Player Career Mode is choosing the club where your player begins their journey. Since your player starts with an overall rating between 65 and 70, it's crucial to select a team where you’ll actually get game time.

Avoid joining big teams like Manchester United or Real Madrid right away, as you'll struggle to break into the first team and likely spend most of your time on the bench.

Instead, opt for a smaller club in a less competitive league. For example, joining any team from the EFL Championship with a 70 overall-rated player gives you a higher chance of starting matches and accelerating your career development.

2) Customize height and weight to suit your position

Customizing your player's height and weight may seem like a minor detail, but it significantly affects performance. For example, heavier players tend to have better strength, while lighter ones excel in sprint speed.

If you’re creating a center-back, make them tall and heavy to improve their aerial ability and physicality. A winger, on the other hand, should be shorter and lighter to maximize pace and agility. Tailor these attributes to the role you plan to play, as this can make your Player Career Mode much more enjoyable and effective.

3) Pick an exciting position

The position you choose for your player can have a massive impact on how enjoyable the mode is. The strikers and wingers offer the most engaging experiences as they’re involved in goal-scoring opportunities and exciting plays.

The midfielders provide a balanced experience, but playing as a defender or goalkeeper can be monotonous, especially if your team dominates possession. If you want to keep your career interesting and dynamic, stick to attacking positions.

4) Utilize the Activities page

After customizing your player and choosing your club, head over to the Activities page. This is where you’ll find decisions, shopping, and investments that can influence your player’s growth. Early in your Player Career Mode, focus on decisions and shopping rather than investments.

Such decisions impact your Personality Points, affecting how quickly certain stats improve. For example, Heartbeat players grow faster in passing, while Mavericks gain strength and pace quicker. These choices directly shape your player's career trajectory, so think carefully when making decisions.

5) Invest in Personality-boosting items

The shopping section on the Activities page offers more than just cosmetic items. Purchasing certain items can boost your stats, such as jumping, stamina, or strength. These purchases also contribute to your Personality Points, helping you further develop your player’s style.

Make sure to spend your wages wisely, as these small boosts can make a big difference in your long-term career.

6) Play as your character only

To fully immerse yourself in the Player Career Mode, consider playing as just your player instead of controlling the whole team. This makes the experience more realistic and challenging, as you’ll need to focus on your positioning, timing, and decision-making during matches. It adds an extra layer of difficulty, especially if you’re playing in attack or as a winger, keeping the game fresh and exciting.

7) Take advantage of training sessions

Training is a crucial part of the Player Career Mode. Don't skip training sessions, as they allow you to fine-tune your skills, earn experience points, and unlock new traits. Consistent participation in drills will also boost your manager rating, making it easier to break into the starting lineup and even secure a transfer to a better club later in your career.

By following these tips, you can keep your Player Career Mode in EA FC 25 both exciting and engaging. This will net you a more personal and dynamic journey through the footballing world.
