Marvel Rivals

Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play 6v6 multiplayer hero-shooter from NetEase Games. After Doctor Doom and his 2099 counterpart cause multiverses to collide, beloved Marvel heroes and villains gather to against one another in cathartic third-player action. Players will fight across iconic maps based on familiar and fan-favorite locations from the media’s history. Each character boasts a series of unique abilities and falls into one of three distinct roles: Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist which translate to Tank, DPS, and Support categories respectively.

Marvel Rivals Gameplay

Players will pick one of over two dozen Marvel heroes in villains in multiplayer matches. Vanguards like Doctor Strange, The Hulk, and Magneto are great at soaking incoming damage and creating space, allowing the team to push toward the objective. Duelists are strict damage dealers, such as The Punisher, Spider-Man, and Hela, who aim to mow down any opponent in their path. The Strategists, like Mantis, Luna Snow, and Loki, aid the former two with an array of healing and support skills

Marvel Rivals Game Modes and Game Types

Here are all game modes and types in Marvel Rivals thus far:

Game Modes:

• Tutorial: Learn the control and ability basics of your favorite Marvel hero or villain

• Quick Mtach: Compete with other players in casual matches

• Competitive: Face off against skilled teams in ranked matchups and climb to the top of the leaderboards

• Pocket Universe: Eliminate as many foes as possible with unhindered respawns in this arcade mode

• Custom: Set up custom matches against friends or randoms

Game Types:

• Convergence: Aim for control over a single capture point and hold it as long as possible

• Convoy: One team pushes an on-rails payload across the map while the other defending team keeps them from progressing

• Domination: Gain control of multiple capture points located throughout the map

The game is on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms only.
