Leaks suggest that a new set of "Level Up Your Squad" cards featuring cover stars of the game will be arriving soon in EA Sports FC 25. It appears EA is preparing to reward its playerbase with some exciting freebies this holiday season. Per the leaks, the lineup includes Jude Bellingham, Aitana Bonmatí, David Beckham, Gianluigi Buffon, and Zinedine Zidane.
While the idea sounds promising, the community has mixed feelings about the value of these cards. According to early leaks, Jude Bellingham and Aitana Bonmatí could each receive an 89-rated card. The other three Icon players —Beckham, Buffon, and Zidane — are expected to be available as loan cards, usable for up to 25 matches.
Although these ratings may seem enticing, some players argue that they don’t quite "level up your squad," as promoted by EA. Most dedicated players now own significantly better promo cards, and the -1 or -2 downgrade from these cards’ gold versions, which can already be purchased for around 40K coins, makes the new additions less impactful.
Nevertheless, these cards could still serve as excellent fodder options for completing Squad Building Challenges (SBCs). For casual players or newcomers, the "Level Up Your Squad" campaign might provide a helpful boost to their teams.

EA yet to provide details on the Level Up Your Squad cards
EA has yet to officially confirm the method for obtaining these "Level Up Your Squad" cards, but there’s a strong possibility it will involve completing a set of objectives. Last year, EA Sports released a special 87-rated Erling Haaland item which was provided to users for free. It could be used to complete objectives and earn in-game rewards. A similar approach could be in store for this year’s campaign.

If so, it would align with EA’s strategy of encouraging gameplay while giving back to its community. The release date for the cards is reportedly set for December 17, just in time for the holiday excitement. While the specifics remain unclear, fans should keep an eye out for official announcements or further leaks.
Whether or not these "Level Up Your Squad" cards truly live up to the hype provided they're released, they are bound to spark interest among FC 25 players. For now, all we can do is speculate and prepare for what might be a festive treat from EA.
