After months of anticipation, it has now been confirmed that Wuthering Waves is coming to PS5. This information was recently revealed via the game's official social media channels. While developer Kuro Games has assured the eventual launch of the title's PS5 version, there is no estimated release window for now. As such, it is likely players on the console must wait a little longer.

Is Wuthering Waves coming to PS5?

As detailed in the X post above, Kuro Games has officially confirmed that Wuthering Waves is coming to PS5 in the near future. While no release date has been provided yet, the game can be expected to launch sometime in August 2024 as a part of the version 1.2 update.

Fans have been urged to stay tuned for further updates, which should be made available soon.

Rumors of a PS5 port for the title have been around for a long time. The recent reveal of Kuro Games' attendance at the ChinaJoy 2024 event served to add more fuel to the speculation, which culminated in today’s (July 23, 2024) announcement.

Interestingly, Kuro Games has not commented on the game’s availability for other platforms. As such, Xbox and Nintendo Switch ports are not expected to be released any time soon, if at all.

Curiously, the announcement also fails to mention the availability of a PlayStation 4 port. The title is thus expected to be a PlayStation 5-only title, which makes sense, given the rather underpowered nature of the PS4 in 2024.
