Story

A manual on magic that is popular amongst students, it is portable enough to fit into one's pocket.

It has been stripped of the lengthy descriptions of principles and voluminous exercises. All that is left now is exam content.

Currently obsolete due to the revisions made in the 12th edition of the Magic Guide.

Trivia

  1. Pocket Grimoire is the only 2 Star claymore in the game as of now.
  2. Pocket Grimoire is a direct upgrade to Apprentice's Notes.

FAQs

What are Pocket Grimoire used for Genshin?

Pocket Grimoire is generally used by players upto AR 20, when they are generally new to the game. Since it is a direct upgrade to the current weapon and due to the lack of variety in options of weapons due to lesser amounts of gacha pulls, this will be a good alternative to Apprentice’s Notes.

What does the Pocket Grimoire do in Genshin?

Pocket Grimoire is a weapon for newer players of Genshin Impact and it helps your Catalyst Characters deal damage. The damage increases upon being upgraded but you can also use it as fodder for upgrading other weapons.

How do you get a Pocket Grimoire in Genshin?

Pocket Grimoire is fairly common in Genshin Impact. You can obtain them from certain inspection points or from opening common or exquisite chests from all over Teyvat. If you want a guaranteed Pocket Grimoire, you can buy it from Wagner, Master Zhang and Hajime, the blacksmiths of each region, for 600 Mora.

Final Thoughts

Pocket Grimoire is the only 2 Star catalyst available in the game. It is a direct upgrade to Apprentice’s Notes, making this just as useless. This is further supported by the fact that all of the weapons of this series share a striking resemblance to the ascended forms of the 1 Star Series. Apart from the significant Base ATK increase, this weapon is just as useless due to its lack of secondary stats and refinement passives.
