Former three-time world champion Jackie Stewart gave a hilarious response after Nico Rosberg was picked over him in a poll carried out by Pubity on "F1's greatest driver of all time." The Scotsman is regarded as one of the greatest drives in the sport and is considered a pioneer in introducing new fans to F1.

In a poll conducted by Pubity, Stewart was pitted against Daniel Ricciardo while former Mercedes driver Rosberg was pitted against Carlos Ruetmann. The 85-year-old got the nod over the affable Aussie while the 2016 world champion got the nod over the Argentine, in the fans' eyes.

But when Sir Jackie was up against Nico Rosberg, he lost out to the German driver in the fans' votes.

In a response that has so far received nearly 9000 likes and over 100 replies, he said:

The Scot has been more successful than the 39-year-old in F1. Having retired four decades before the Finn, Stewart won 27 races and claimed three world championships in just 99 race starts, while it took Rosberg 206 race starts to win 23 races and his sole driver's title.

However, Rosberg then lost to two-time world champion Mika Hakkinen, who found himself in the last four of the poll pitted against seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher.

Nico Rosberg gives his take on Ferrari's chances of winning 2024 constructors' title

Former Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg stated that there was a possibility that Ferrari could win the constructors' championship in the 2024 season, despite being 39 points behind Red Bull, and 31 points behind McLaren who are seen by many as favorites for the title.

During his appearance on the Sky Sports F1 podcast, the 2016 F1 champion said,

“Yes of course it could happen. With the form they have, they are not the favorites. McLaren, by far, are the favorite. It depends on this upgrade. The upgrade from Ferrari looked good but Monza is such an outlier track.
"Is it going to look good at other places? We need to wait to have that answer - if it is working so well, it will have an outsider’s shot at taking the constructors'.”

Rosberg added he believes Ferrari's resurgence was down to team principal Fred Vassuer's influence.

“That would certainly be Fred’s influence. Fred is a racer. He doesn’t need to follow what a computer is telling him, he goes by feel, and what he sees. It’s a nice contrast to some of those nerdy engineers in front of their numbers and screens who sometimes forget to look outside at what’s really happening," Rosberg said.

The Italian team introduced a major upgrade package at its home race in Monza last weekend which helped them to win their third race of the season, in front of their adoring Tifosi.
