"I am officially a Swiftie now" - F1 champion Nico Rosberg gets swayed by Taylor Swift storm in London

Nico Rosberg, the 2016 Formula 1 champion, is the latest addition to Taylor Swift's fandom. He claimed on Instagram that he was "officially" a fan of Taylor Swift and hence, a "Swiftie now."

Nico Rosberg and his wife, Vivian Sibold Rosberg, attended Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert in the United Kingdom. Swift performed in the jam-packed and star-studded Wembley Stadium on June 23, where Tom Cruise, Ashton Kutcher, and Mila Kunis were among those present.

Rosberg and his partner seemingly enjoyed the concert and the former Mercedes driver, who happens to be a Britney Spears fan, claimed that he had also become a fan of the American pop star.

Vivian Rosberg shared a selfie with her husband on Instagram and wrote:

"Taylor Swift was [fire], Friday night at Wembley! Loved our first concert with the girls, what an experience. @nicorosberg did we convert you?"

Replying to this, the German former driver wrote:

"Yes, I am officially a swiftie now."

Rosberg also cheekily added that he will "forever" be a Spears fan.

Notably, Nico Rosberg isn't new to attending concerts and events. The former F1 driver often takes out time to attend the Greentech Festival, Roland Garros, and many more.

While Nico Rosberg might be a Taylor Swift fan now, the latter has a prior connection to the sport. On more than one occasion, the American singer-songwriter visited the F1 paddock to witness the action.

During Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton's fierce battle for supremacy back in the 2016 F1 season, Swift performed ahead of the United States Grand Prix. Later on in the race, Hamilton finished the race ahead of Rosberg.

Interestingly, it was the same year when the former German driver claimed his only championship by ending Hamilton's two-year streak. Besides this, Swift also saw herself linked with Fernando Alonso last year.

Numerous rumors flooded the internet where they linked Alonso, the two-time F1 world champion, with Swift. However, the rumors had no strong foundation.

Interestingly, Alonso made sure he played along and even made TikTok videos using Taylor Swift's songs. However, all rumors faded away after her relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce went public.
