What is the lore behind Snorkel Ops in Fortnite?

Snorkel Ops is one of the oldest characters to exist within the Metaverse. She is an OG in the true sense, and has been part of Fortnite since Chapter 1. For this reason, she is rather obscure, and her popularity has vastly diminished over time. In fact, very few players even remember that she even exists, and yet, she does.

Based on her design, it can be assumed that she has underwater combat training or some kind. This is backed up by her description which reads, "Diving head first into the fight."
