Introduction to the Fortnite Item Shop
The Fortnite Item Shop is a cosmetic shop that exists within the game. It is considered the one-stop-solution for all in-game cosmetic items. Players can find all the latest Outfits, Back Blings, Wraps, Gliders, Harvesting Tools, Contrails, Music, Emotes, Bundles, and much more all under one roof here. Given the sheer volume of cosmetic items in Fortnite, the Item Shop rotates on a daily basis.
This allows different types and rarities (Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary) of cosmetic items to be swapped in and out based on Epic Games' discretion. Aside from the basic rarities, the Item Shop also hosts special categories such as Icon Series, Dark Series, Star War Series, Marvel Series, Gaming Legend Series, and DC Series. They are featured as and when a collaboration occurs.
However, that's not all the Fortnite Item Shop has on offer. Players can also purchase the Battle Pass for the ongoing season, alongside Starter Packs, Level Up Quest Packs, and Battle Pass Tiers/ Battle Stars. The Item Shop is not limited to just in-game-currency-based transactions. Some cosmetic items can only be bought using real money.
When these real-money Bundles appear in-game, players can simply purchase them from the Item Shop instead of the Epic Games Store (EGS). This saves them a lot of time and effort that would have otherwise been spent looking for a particular product. Given the streamlined layout of the Fortnite Item Shop, it is easier to buy items in-game.

Daily Items in the Fortnite Shop
Every cosmetic item in the Fortnite Item Shop will rotate in and out on a daily basis. The shop is refreshed on a 24-hour cycle. The Daily section in the Item Shop features cosmetic items that tend to return to the Item Shop more frequently than the rest. The daily reset occurs at 0:00 UTC, following which a brand new set of cosmetics arrives.
Since this section rotates on a daily basis, Outfits are mostly limited to three rarities: Uncommon, Rare, and Epic. Outfits of Legendary rarity are extremely rare, but a few do appear every now and then depending on factors such as how long the item has been vaulted and its demand in the community.
Popular Fortnite cosmetics that have retained their status over the seasons tend to be featured more often than the others. These are usually inexpensive and cost as little as 800 V-Bucks. Epic Games tends to bring these back to the Fortnite Item Shop often as many newcomers buy these Outfits given the low pricing.
Some well-known outfits in the 800 V-Bucks range include Aura, Birdie and Bullseye.
Aside from Outfits, players can find a lot of Music Packs in the Daily section of the Item Shop. Since these do not cost a lot of V-Bucks, they tend to rotate in and out very frequently as well. Although, in rare cases, certain Music Packs are featured given the prevalent situation in-game.
Featured Items in the Fortnite Shop
The Featured items in the Fortnite Item Shop are usually cosmetics that are part of a collaboration or those that have to be showcased for a stipulated amount of time. They tend to stay for an extended period and cover all types of cosmetic items, from Outfits to Gliders.
The Featured section of the Fortnite Item Shop tends to be spread out across numerous pages. Players will have to scroll a bit to cover the expanse of the available Featured items. That said, in general, they tend to stay in the Item Shop for the duration of the in-game collaboration or event.
Aside from collaborations, Featured items also include cosmetics handpicked by Epic Games for reasons best known to them. They have been known to add certain cosmetic items to the shop as hints for what's about to happen in-game and leave a digital breadcrumb trail for players to catch onto.
Depending on what's in trend, Featured items may or may not come back to the Item Shop soon once vaulted. Until another collaboration is initiated, only regular Featured cosmetic items are put up on display. The Featured section can also include cosmetic items from the Dark Series, Star Wars Series, Marvel Series, Icon Series, DC Series, and Gaming Legends Series.

Seasonal Items in the Fortnite Shop
Seasonal items in the Fortnite Item Shop are inspired by the prevalent theme of the ongoing season and everything related to it. The Bundles usually depict the theme of the season and rotate in and out of the Item Shop from time to time. That said, these are very limited in number and often priced high as they are new entries to the Fortnite Item Shop.
Aside from Seasonal items that pertain to the ongoing season, players can purchase regular seasonal cosmetic items from the Fortnite Item Shop during Summer, Fortnitemares, Winterfest, and other in-game celebrations. All the cosmetics up for sale stick to the theme and stay in the Item Shop for the duration of the season.
During this time, concept artists get a spot to showcase their Seasonal items in the Fortnite Item Shop as well. Winners of contests held by Epic Games have their Outfit featured in-game. Players can then purchase them using V-Bucks or often win them via an in-game competitive match.
The same goes for cosmetics items related to events. The Fortnite Item Shop will often feature specific items during events such as FNCS or World Championships. However, given that these are rare occasions, the volume of cosmetics items associated with them are few and far between.
LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival
As part of Epic Games’ ongoing expansion, three new modes have been added to the ecosystem: LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival. Although they are still in their infancy, new cosmetic types have been added in for them as well to the Fortnite Item Shop.
This includes cosmetics such as Car Body, Decal, and Wheels for Rocket Racing, and Jam Tracks, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Microphone, Keytar, and Auras for Fortnite Festival. Although these are rather limited in number in the Fortnite Item Shop, Epic Games will expand upon them in the coming months.
As for LEGO Fortnite, the Outfits associated with it can often be obtained for free in your Locker. Since they are LEGo replicas of Outfits that already exist in-game, when you purchase Outfits from the Fortnite Item Shop, you now gain a LEGO Outfit absolutely free.
However, Epic Games is still working on porting all Fortnite skins to be usable in the LEGO Fortnite mode. As such, some Outfits are low resolution, while others are restricted from being part of LEGO Fortnite due to IP limitation. These are subject to change in the near future. For the time being, there are over 1,200 LEGO skins that players can use in-game.
Tips and Strategies while using the Fortnite Item Shop
The best way to make the most of Sportskeeda’s Fortnite Item Shop is to keep an eye out for offers and discounts. Although these are mostly limited to PlayStation and Xbox users, those on PC do get to avail these discounts as well from time to time. However, in most situations, these discounts and offers will pertain to real money Bundles.
At times, certain Bundles may be discounted, but it all depends on if the prerequisites to obtain the discount have been met. These are mostly earned by completing in-game Challenges/Quests related to Reboot Rallies and other similar events. However, since these Bundles are not added in immediately, players can turn on notifications for Sportskeeda’s Fortnite item shop to receive an update as soon as they are added to the store.
Additionally, for those wanting to make the most of the Item Shop, it's always a good idea to look for Outfits that are priced low but offer several different styles at the given price. Players will be able to swap out styles of the same Outfit at their discretion to have more than one option available in-game. This is a very economical way to go about in-game purchases.
Lastly, for those wanting to buy a particular cosmetic item, it's always a good idea to check Sportskeeda’s Fortnite Item Shop after every rotation. The entire process barely takes a few seconds and only has to be done once a day to ensure that no wanted cosmetic items are missed out on.
