Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 1 takes players back to where it began, to the initial days of loot pool changes and feature introductions. The season features a throwback to items, weapons, and graphics of the first chapter of the game, much to the delight of the veteran players.
OG brings back the beloved Fortnite map with popular locations such as Pleasant Park, Dusty Depot, Greasy Grove, and more. It also brings back some of the most coveted vanilla weapons such as the assault rifle, Pistol, Revolver, Machine Gun, and more. The weapons in OG are original in their truest sense — they have no mods or augments. It’s just you and your skills against opponents.
Despite being a throwback to the good old times, OG will retain the current building mechanics as well as traversals such as sprint, slide, door bash, mantle, and more. The only significant change is the addition of ziplines and ascenders for players to reach difficult spots with ease. Additionally, sniper scope glare is enabled and max building resources are set to 999 apart from enabling double pump for shotguns.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of OG is the return of traps, a popular game mechanic that veterans of Fortnite remember fondly and new players are discovering eagerly. The season brings back traps such as the damage trap, ceiling zapper, Wall Dynamo, and more. Additionally, the loot pool stays faithful to the original Battle Royale Chapter 1 Season 1 and introduces legacy weapons.
As with any other season, OG also introduces a brand-new battle pass featuring some of the most popular legacy items, outfits such as Renegade Rebel, Skull Commander, as well as other popular characters from Fortnite history. The legendary locations paired with the timeless weapons are the perfect blend of nostalgia and challenge to provide players with a fun and engaging way to enjoy the season.
Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 1 OG has two modes — solos and squads, allowing players to brave the challenge alone or with the company of fellow loopers. Ranked Fortnite OG is also set to arrive soon. As part of the OG, Epic Games is also introducing a Ranked OG tournament cup where eligible players can battle each other for exclusive prizes.
