Nvidia introduced DLSS 4, the latest iteration of its Deep Learning Super Sampling technology, alongside the RTX 50 Series GPUs at CES 2025 on January 6, 2025. DLSS 4 features Multi Frame Generation, an AI-driven enhancement that generates up to three additional frames for each traditionally rendered frame, significantly boosting frame rates by up to 8X over traditional methods.

This advancement enables 4K gaming at 240 frames per second with full ray tracing capabilities. Additionally, the new version of DLSS includes enhancements to existing features, such as Ray Reconstruction and Super Resolution, improving performance and image quality while reducing ghosting and VRAM usage.

At launch, DLSS 4 will be supported by 75 games and applications. Notably, titles like Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 will receive updates to incorporate DLSS 4's Multi Frame Generation feature, providing gamers with enhanced visual experiences and performance improvements.
