WWE Championship - Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens has been assisting Cody Rhodes for the whole past year, firstly when he went up against The Bloodline to win the WWE Championship, and then again when The New Bloodline went after Rhodes' WWE Championship. Owens also made an appearance on WWE SummerSlam to even the odds against Rhodes. After Rhodes retained the gold, Solo Sikoa demanded a rematch but Owens helped fend off The Bloodline. Rhodes deemed Owens deserving of a title shot, and while the latter was initially reluctant, the match was officiated for Bash in Berlin. Rhodes defeated Owens at the match.

WWE Women's Tag Team Championship - The Unholy Union vs. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill

At Clash at the Castle, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill lost their WWE Women's Tag Team Championship to The Unholy Union, the team of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn, after they pinned Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark in a triple threat tag team match. On the SmackDown after SummerSlam, Cargill and Belair defeated the champions by disqualification but the title did not change hands. A few weeks later, the match between the two teams was officiated by the SmackDown General Manager Adam Pearce for Bash in Berlin. At the event, Belair and Cargill reclaimed the titles.

Strap Match - CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have been locked against each other since the beginning of 2024 after CM Punk eliminated McIntyre from the Royal Rumble match. This lead to McIntyre teasing Punk for weeks, before the latter cost McIntyre his title match at WrestleMania XL, then at Clash at the Castle, and then his Money in the Bank Cash-In match at the eponymous event.

All this led to a singles match at SummerSlam, where Seth Rollins was the referee. At the event, McIntyre won the match and insulted Punk, which led the latter to whip McIntyre with a belt on the following RAW. Eventually, the two were announced to face each other in a Strap match at Bash in Berlin, by Adam Pearce. Punk defeated McIntyre in the strap match.

Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest vs. Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan

At SummerSlam, Damian Priest lost his World Heavyweight Championship to Gunther after his teammate Finn Balor betrayed him. The same night, fellow Judgment Day member Dominik Mysterio turned on Rhea Ripley and aligned himself with Liv Morgan. This effectively kicked both the original members of the group. The two got together and vowed to take on their former friends, beginning with Mysterio and Morgan, whom they faced in Berlin in a Mixed Tag Team Match. Ripley and Priest defeated Morgan and Mysterio at the event.

World Heavyweight Championship - Gunther (c) vs. Randy Orton

At WWE King and Queen of the Ring, Gunther defeated Randy Orton to become the King of the Ring. However, when Gunther covered Orton for the pin, the shoulders of the Viper were not entirely on the mat, and thus his victory was deemed to be controversial. While Triple H confirmed that the decision of the referee stands, he speculated a future match between the two stars.

Nonetheless, Gunther was also awarded a world title match at SummerSlam. At the event, Gunther defeated the World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest to win a world title for the first time in his WWE career. On the following RAW, Gunther's title celebration was interrupted by SmackDown superstar Orton who demanded a rematch against the champion, now for his title. The Ring General accepted the challenge and will now face The Legend Killer in Germany. At the event, Orton passed out to Gunther's chokehold and lost the match.
