Echopark Automotive will be sponsoring another race in the 2024 season. This time in the form of the EchoPark Automotive 400 which will give viewers a definitive experience of the “Crown Jewel” races. The race will be held in the afternoon and it will transition into the evening the Coca-Cola 600, ending under the nightlights.
The race has a divisive nickname as the, Francis Ferko 500. This was done in response to the Ferko lawsuit which caused NASCAR to relinquish their Grand Slam and their oldest race, Southern 500. The decision visibly upset their fans who went on to give a new name to EchoPark Automotive 400.
The EchoPark Automotive 400 is one of the most unique races on the NASCAR calendar. It is known for its celebration rituals after every race. The race winner of Automotive 400 gets to fire a couple of six-shooters in the victory lane.
The trophy is also meticulously designed in the shape of a cowboy hat on top of a piston. The EchoPark Automotive 400 is a race which deeply pays homage to the cowboy traditions of Texas.

EchoPark Automotive 400 History
The race was started in 2005 with the name Dickies 500. Carl Edwards and Mark Martin battled it out in the first iteration of the race, with Martin losing to Carl Edwards. The driver gave the public another one of his iconic winning backflips as he became the 10th different winner in the 10th race.
The race has a history of iconic performances from driver duos and some of the best drivers of the modern NASCAR Cup Series. In 2009, the race was led by the Busch brothers who swapped lead amongst each other for 321 out the 334 laps. It was the race with the most number of cautions in 2022 with 16 cautions.
The race was shortened in 2023 by 100 miles. William Byron is the defending winner at the EchoPark Automotive 400.
EchoPark Automotive 400 2024 Schedule
The EchoPark Automotive 400 will be held on Sunday, April 14 from 3:30 PM Eastern Time. It will be a 267 lap race taking place over 400 miles. The first stages of the race will consist of 80 and 85 laps respectively and the final stage of the race will be of 102 laps. The EchoPark Automotive 400 Qualifying will take place on Saturday, 13th April from 10:20 AM track time.

The EchoPark Automotive 400 will take place at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, California. The track is a 1.5 mile long paved Superspeedway. The circuit hosts boat IndyCar and NASCAR Cup Series races.
It has a banking of 24 degrees in the turns and and five degrees on the front and back straights. The lap record of the track is held by Kevin Harvick. He set a time of 0:27.617 in his Ford Fusion during the 2018 O’Reilly Auto Parts 500.

Jimmie Johnson, one of the most successful drivers in the history of NASCAR and the only driver to achieve seven consecutive titles in Cup Series, is also the king of the EchoPark Automotive 400. He has won the race five times since its inauguration in 2007 and four times consecutively from 2012-2015. He is followed by Carl Edwards and Kevin Harvick who have three wins in the event. Hendrick Motorsports is the most successful team in the event with seven wins throughout the years.
