About Central League Cup 2020-21
The Central League was formed in 1911 and is the oldest league for the reserve teams for various English clubs. The Central League was initially played between both first teams and reserve teams, but since 1921, it has been for reserve teams only.
The League has always traditionally been made up of clubs from the Midlands, along with Northern Wales and Northern England, but since the start of the 2014-15 season, the league has become a national competition.
The Central League Cup is the cup competition that is contested by clubs that are part of the Central League.
