About Founders Cup 2025
The Founders Cup presented by U.S. Virgin Islands 2025 is scheduled to take place from February 6-9 at the Bradenton Country Club Golf Course in Bradenton, Florida, in the United States. After three years of sponsorship, in October 2024, Cognizant stepped down as the event's title sponsor, as per Golf Week. Therefore, until a new title sponsor is found, the LPGA will sponsor the event for the 2025 season. The purse for the event will be $2 million, a substantial drop from the $3 million purse for 2021-2024.
Founders Cup History
The Founders Cup was established in 2011 as a tribute to the original 13 women professional golfers of the LPGA, including Patty Berg, Marlene Hagge, Louise Suggs, and Babe Zaharias in 1950. The inaugural event was then known as the RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup and was held at the Wildfire Golf Club in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Founders Cup has changed a few sponsors in over a decade, always using "Founders Cup" as a suffix. The Cognizant replaced Bank of Hope as the event's title sponsor when it resumed in 2021 after the 2020 event was canceled due to COVID-19. Consequently, the purse doubled from $1.5 million to $3 million and stayed constant until 2025, when it changed to $2 million for losing sponsorship.

Founders Cup 2025 Course
The Founders Cup 2025 will be held at the Bradenton Country Club Golf Course in Bradenton, Florida.
According to Bradenton Country Club’s website, it was established more than a hundred years ago in 1924, and was designed by Donald Ross. In 2015, it won the Best Private Golf Course in Manatee County by the Bradenton Herald’s People’s Choice Awards. The course, which was renovated by Tony Jacklin in 2018, is 6,708 yards long, with a slope of 130 and a rating of 72.7.
