About Honda LPGA Thailand

Honda LPGA Thailand History
The Honda LPGA Thailand was established in 2006 and has been sponsored by Honda since then. It was originally held at the Amata Spring Country Club, Bangkok, but a season later, it moved to Siam Country Club, Pattaya. The inaugural winner was Han Hee-Won, who defeated Diana D'Alessio by a margin of five strokes. She earned a winner's share of $195,000 of the $1.3 million purse.
In 2008, the event was removed from the LPGA schedule but returned in 2009. However, the course was changed again, and the event was held at the Siam Country Club's Plantation Course before being moved back to the Old Course.

The Honda LPGA Thailand 2025 will take place at the Siam Country Club’s Old Course in Pattaya, Thailand. In 1970, Japanese architect Ichisuke Izumi designed Siam Country Club, which was Thailand's second golf course. Nearly 40 years after being founded, in 2006-07, the Old Course was closed for renovation by Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt. It reopened in 2007 and has played host to several tournaments, including the US LPGA Honda Classic. In 2018, USA Golf Digest ranked the Old Course 73rd in the world.
