About 2019 LoL World Championship
League of Legends World Championship is an annual tournament which is held globally where top teams from each region battle for the throne. The tournament started back in 2011.
This year would be the 9th edition of the tournament. The competition has massive prize pool and the 2018 LoL World Championship had a prize pool of-. The tournament is usually a month long.
The championship starts with teams from the minor regions such as Brazil, Russia and Turkey etc. fighting it out in the Play in Stage. All teams are divided into four groups and 1 team qualifies from each group for the main tournament.
Then the tournament proceeds to the group stage round. All the team qualified from different regions including four teams from play in phase are divided into four groups. These teams battle every other team in their group twice. Two teams qualify from each group for the knockout phase.
The championship then goes to Quarterfinals to semifinals then Finals.
The group stage is Best of 1 whereas the Knockout phase is Best of 5.

This year the tournament is going to be held in Europe and the schedule is as follows-
> Play in Stage to be held in Berlin: October 2-5, 7-8
Group Stage and Quarterfinals to be held in Berlin:
>October 12-20(Group Stage),
>October 26-27(Quarterfinals)
>Semifinals to be held in Madrid: Novomber 2-3
>Finals to be held in Paris: November 10
Each map is held in a big auditorium which is usually sold out while usually for finals even bigger place is booked. Fans can get the tickets via Riot's official Website. Fans can also watch all the matches live on YouTube or Twitch.
