About Lyon Open 2023 - ATP
The Lyon Open is a claycourt tennis tournament on the ATP tour that takes place every year in the French city of Lyon. It is a part of the ATP 250 Series and is also known as the Open Parc Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Lyon. The 2021 edition of the Lyon Open will be held from 17 to 23 May.
History
The Open de Nice Côte d'Azur was the predecessor to the Lyon Open; the former was replaced by the latter in the year 2017. In the first edition of the Lyon Open in 2017, home favorite Jo-Wilfried Tsonga defeated Tomas Berdych by a margin of 7-6 (7-2), 7-5 to clinch the title in the singles event. In doubles, it was the pair of Andres Molteni (Argentina) and Adil Shamasdin (Canada) who defeated Marcus Daniell (New Zealand) and Marcelo Demoliner (Brazil) by 6-3, 3-6, [10-5] to take the trophy home.
