Established in 1986, originally the Atlantic City LPGA Classic was first played at the Seaview Golf Club. However, from 1988 to 1997, it was played at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point, later renamed Sands Country Club. Regardless, in 1992, the event moved back to Seaview. ShopRite became the event's title sponsor that year and was renamed the ShopRite LPGA Classic. Moving on, more than a decade later, Acer stepped up as the event’s presenting sponsor in 2013, thus adding the suffix, “Presented by Acer.”

ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer 2025 Course
The ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer 2025 will be held at the Seaview Golf Club’s Bay Course in Galloway, New Jersey. The Seaview Country Club is more than 110 years old, founded in 1914 by Clarence H. Geist. The club consists of two golf courses, but initially, there was only the Bay Course, and the Pines Course was introduced in 1929.
According to the event's website, Hugh Wilson created the Bay Course in 1914, but Donald Ross completed it in 1915, with sand bunkers. Robert Cupp Jr. further renovated the course in 1998. The Pines Course, on the other hand, was created by Howard C. Toomey and Williams S. Flynn in 1929 and redesigned in 1957 by William Gordon. Moving on, in 1990, Al Janis replaced three holes.
