CWS Super Regionals

The College World Series is notable for being the final championship game for college baseball similar to the World Series in Major League Baseball (MLB). However, the Super Regionals are only the second stage of the entire format.

In the CWS Super Regionals, the top 16 college baseball teams that become the champions of their respective regions in the first round get a chance to beat their opponents to reach the men’s college World Series Games. These teams play a best of three-series to prove their dominance over one another. After the conclusion of the CWS Super Regionals, only eight teams are left standing. These eight teams then advance to the main men’s college World Series Games.

For 2024, all 16 teams have already been chosen for the CWS Super Regional rounds and will play against one another to eventually become a part of the men’s college World Series Games to crown a new champion.

Super Regionals Date, Time and Location

The 2024 CWS Super Regionals have already been decided. The first four games of the round will take place on Friday, June 7, 2024 to Saturday, June 8, 2024. Additional games will be played on Sunday June 9, 2024 in case of weather related emergencies or if necessary.

The next four games will be played on Saturday June 8, 2024 and Sunday, June 9, 2024 with additional games on Monday June 10, 2024, if necessary or if games are affected by weather. The games will be hosted in college baseball stadiums throughout the country. However, the timings of the games vary.

Super Regionals TV Schedule

The 2024 CWS Super Regionals will air fully on ESPN and related channels. Fans of college baseball can see the super regionals on ESPN2 and ESPNU and ABC. Additionally, they can also stream the games on ESPN+.

Knoxville Super Regionals

The Knoxville Super Regionals will be contested between the Tennessee Volunteers and the Evansville Purple Aces.

Tallahassee Super Regionals

The Florida State Seminoles and the UConn Huskies will be battling it out for a chance to go into the men’s college world series.

Charlottesville Super Regionals

The Virginia Cavaliers and the Kansas State Wildcats will be squaring off for a chance to move on to the next round.

Super Regionals Tickets

The tickets for the 2024 CWS Super Regionals can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com. The website has tickets for 24 events of the super regionals. The ticket pricings vary based on the game with general onsale for several games. Fans can choose their preferred games and purchase tickets according to their choice.

Super Regionals Format

The CWS Super Regionals for the 2024 season will be following a best-of-three game format. All sixteen teams will be facing each other for two games. If scores are tied or games are postponed due to weather emergencies, then a third game will be played to determine the winner. At the end, only eight teams will remain with all of them advancing to the men’s College World Series games.
