About West Indies Super50 Cup 2021
West Indies Super50 Cup 2021 will take place from 7 February to 27 February 2021. This will be the 47th edition of the Super50 tournament, the domestic limited-overs cricket competition for the countries of the Cricket West Indies (CWI). The competition was first held in 1976, one year after West Indies maiden World Cup triumph.
There will be a total of six teams in Regional Super50 Cup 2021 - Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, the Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Windward Islands. The players’ draft was held in June 2020, with each team picking up a minimum of 15 players. The three-week-long competition will feature a mix of prominent national players and upcoming talents.
Schedule for the West Indies Super50 Cup 2021 was released on 25 January 2021. The competition will have 19 List A (50 overs) matches. Each team will play each other once with the top four qualifying for the semi-finals.
The venues for the matches are Coolidge Cricket Ground and Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, both on the island of Antigua. The matches will be played at 6:30 PM IST and 11 PM IST. The matches will be available live on the West Indies Cricket YouTube channel for the international audience.
