About Winston-Salem 2024
The Winston-Salem Open 2024 is an ATP 250 event that will commence from 18th-24th August 2024. The 55th edition of this famous men’s tournament will be played on an outdoor hard court. The tournament was awarded the title of the 2016 ATP Tour 250 Tournament of the Year.

Winston-Salem Open History
Winston-Salem Open was formerly called Hamlet Challenge Cup which was played at Long Island’s Jericho. Later, in 1990, the tournament became part of ATP, where it was sponsored by Norstar Bank. In 2005, the tournament was purchased by USTA and merged with the women’s event played at New Haven.
With the merger, the event became the first largest ATP-WTA tournament, which led to the US Open. The Winston-Salem Open was separated from the WTA tournament in 2011. It will be played on outdoor hard courts. Some of the top players of the tournament include Ivan Lendl, Andre Agassi, Stefan Edberg, and Lleyton Hewitt.
