This week, golf fans will be treated to the beginning of the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open. The tournament in question will take place at the Torrey Pines Golf Course (North and South Course).
This PGA Tour event will begin on January 22 and end on January 25.

#10. Matthieu Pavon won the Farmers Insurance Open in 2024
Last year's edition of the Farmers Insurance Open was won by French professional golfer Matthieu Pavon. After four rounds of golf at the tournament, Pavon scored -13 to beat Nicolai Højgaard, who finished in second place. Pavon earned $1,620,000 for this victory.
#9. Max Homa (2023)
American professional golfer Max Homa had a field day at the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open. In this tournament, Homa scored -13 and beat a veteran golfer Keegan Bradley. Homa's performance in this event earned him $1,566,000, and since winning this event he has yet to register a win on the PGA Tour.
#8. Luke List (2022)
The 2022 Farmers Insurance Open was nothing short of magical for Luke List. It was this very tournament which List won and registered his first win on the PGA Tour at the age of 38. The American was awarded a cash prize of $1,512,000 for his victory over Will Zalatoris.
#7. Patrick Reed (2021)
The 2021 edition of the Farmers Insurance Open was a tight affair, as several golfers were in contention to win. However, after the end of four rounds, it was Patrick Reed who beat the likes of Tony Finau and Viktor Hovland to win the event. Reed was awarded $1,350,000 for this win.
#6. Marc Leishman (2020)
Heading into the 2020 Farmers Insurance Open, Marc Leishman hadn't won a PGA Tour event in two years. However, his fortunes changed at this event as he managed to beat the seasoned professional, Jon Rahm, to win the tournament. Leishman went home with a cash prize of $1,350,000.
#5. Justin Rose (2019)
In 2019, English golf legend Justin Rose became the Farmers Insurance Open champion. Rose beat Adam Scott in this event and registered his 10th victory on the PGA Tour. After scoring -21 in the four rounds he played, Rose was awarded $1,278,000.
#4. Jason Day (2018)
In 2018, the Farmers Insurance Open was one of the two events Jason Day won on the PGA Tour that year. In the 2018 edition of this tournament, Day beat Alex Noren and Ryan Palmer in the playoff to become champion and earn $1,242,000. It's worth noting that this victory was the second time Day had won this event.
#3. Jon Rahm (2017)
The 2017 Farmers Insurance Open belonged to current LIV Golf professional Jon Rahm. In this tournament, the Spanish golfer beat Charles Howell III and Taiwan Pan Cheng-tsung via three strokes. At the end of it all, Rahm earned $1,206,000 for his victory.

The 2016 Farmers Insurance Open was the second time Brandt Snedeker won this competition. Previously, Snedeker won this event in 2012. In 2016 though, Snedeker beat K.J. Choi by one stroke to become champion. He earned $1,170,000 for this win.

2015 was the year when Jason Day won his first-ever Farmers Insurance Open. Like 2018, this time as well Day had to undergo a playoff to win the competition. In the playoffs, the Australian golfer beat Harris English, J. B. Holmes, and Scott Stallings to win the event and earn $1,134,000.
