The 2024 PGA Tour season was an entertaining one for players and fans alike. Some professional golfers highlighted the year with their game, while some new talents also were in the headlines throughout the season.
This year, 15-year-old Miles Russell made headlines for his debut on the PGA Tour at a young age. However, he is not the only golfer to have had a first taste of playing on the PGA Tour in 2024. Here are five golfers who made their debut on the PGA Tour in 2024.
#1 Miles Russell
Miles Russell debuted on the PGA Tour in 2024 at age 15. The young American budding golfer played at the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic and shot two rounds of 74 and 70. He played in a decorated field of some top-ranked professional golfers but struggled with his game and missed the cut.

Speaking about his debut on the PGA Tour, he said (via USA Today),
"I am thankful to Rocket Mortgage for giving me the opportunity to make my PGA TOUR debut at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Ever since I first started playing golf, my dream has been to compete on the PGA TOUR and test my game against the best players, and I’m looking forward to making the most of the experience later this month."
Russell also competed at the 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship but again missed the cut after playing two rounds of 74 and 70.
#2 Neal Shipley
Neal Shipley made his debut on the PGA Tour at the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic. He played in the Masters and the US Open as an amateur before teeing off at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in his first regular PGA Tour event. He made a mark in his debut, making the cut after two rounds of 67 and 68. He had some tough times on the greens in the remaining two rounds but managed to secure the T20 position in his debut event on the circuit.
In addition to the Rocket Mortgage Classic, Shipley also played in the John Deere Classic, ISPS Championship, Bermuda Championship, 3M Open, Procore Championship, Shriners Children's Open, and the World Wide Technology Championship, on the PGA Tour in 2024.
#3 Luke Clanton
Luke Clanton also made his PGA Tour debut at the 2024 Rocket Mortgage Classic. In his debut tournament, he started with a solid round of 69 and then added another round of 68. Clanton shot two final rounds of 65 and 72 and tied for tenth in the event. Having played in eight PGA Tour events in 2024, the American made the cut in seven and had two runner-up finishes.
#4 Kris Kim
Kris Kim also made his PGA Tour debut in 2024. He played at The CJ Cup Bryson Nelson. He shot four rounds of 68, 67, 70, and 73, and settled in 65th place in the event.
#5 Rintaro Nakano
Japanese golfer Rintaro Nakano also made his PGA Tour debut in 2024. He competed at the Sony Open in Hawaii and shot two rounds of 73 and 71 and missed the cut.
