The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2025 will be held from January 30 to February 2, 2025, at Pebble Beach Links Course and Spyglass Hill Golf Course in Pebble Beach, California, USA. Owing to its structure, the event takes place on two golf courses: the first and second rounds are played on both courses, while the third and fourth rounds are played at Pebble Beach Golf Links. However, the final two rounds played over the next two days in an individual stroke format, will only be accessible to pros.

As a professional amateur tournament, the better ball (four-ball) format is used at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. One of the eight PGA Tour signature events, it is nearly 90 years old and the season's second signature event after The Sentry. In the event, golfers compete in pairs, with one professional and one amateur, totaling 80 professionals and 80 amateurs simultaneously.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2025 Tournament Purse History

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was established as the Bing Crosby Pro-Am in 1937, with a $500 winner's share that stayed unchanged until 1942. Following that, the tournament was unable to take place due to World War II, resuming in 1947 with a winner's share of $2,000. In 1960, the event featured a $50,000 purse, with the winner receiving $4,000.

Since then, until 1982, the event's purse has been quite inconsistent, not following the regular growth pattern but with occasional dips and spikes. For example, in 1965, the tournament featured a purse of $84,500, which grew to $104,500 the next year before dropping to $80,000 in 1967. They had a purse of $300,000 in 1980, which dipped to $225,000 in 1981 before returning to $300,000 in 1982. Following that, it steadily increased to a purse of $1 million, with the winner's share of $180,000 in 1989.

In 1999, the purse reached $2.8 million, and in 2000, it increased further to $4 million, with the winner receiving $720,000. The purse increased to $9 million 23 years later, with the winner receiving a share of $1.62 million. However, things changed for the better in 2024 when the PGA Tour launched eight signature events, resulting in smaller fields and greater purses; the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was one of them. As a result, its purse amounted to $20 million, with the winner receiving $3.6 million.
