Byeong Hun An is one of the most active professional golfers on social media, especially X (formerly Twitter). He recently made fun of himself using a meme featuring Simone Biles, a gymnast who is worth $25 million (per Celebrity Net Worth).

The South Korean golfer first shared the meme featuring Biles in August. In this, the gymnast is seen making a shocked face while looking at the camera, and the pro golfer shared her reaction as a meme and wrote:

"My caddie Justin when I say 'Driver off the deck?'"

Driver off the deck is one of the most daunting shots as the golf club has the least loft, and playing it without an elevation (like using a tee) is really challenging.

Hun An revisited this tweet today as he wrote:

"Not yesterday😂"

Byeong Hun An made this comment as he played an incredible driver off the deck at the 2024 Genesis Championship in South Korea. He found the fairway on the long par five 15th hole, but the pin was still around 290 yards away. Hun An decided to go with a driver and executed it with perfection as he landed the ball just 13 ft from the green and eventually made a birdie.

Byeong Hun An won the 2024 Genesis Championship

Byeong Hun An won the 2024 Genesis Championship in his home country at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea, Incheon, South Korea. This was his first win in nine years on the DP World Tour, having previously won the BMW PGA Championship in 2015.

Even though he was a local golfer, Hun An was not one of the favorite locals this week as Tom Kim was highlighting the event. However, he defeated Kim to win the event in a playoff.

The 33-year-old golfer had an incredible start to the event, carding -5 and -6 on the first two days of the event. However, Hun An lost a bit of momentum and lead on the moving day as he scored -1 for the day with three birdies and two bogeys to remain -12 for the event and share the co-lead with Tom Kim going into the final round.

Hun An played incredible golf on the final day and finished -17 for the event along with his compatriot Kim. The two golfers went head-to-head in the playoff where Byeong Hun An carded a birdie while Tom Kim scored a bogey to finish second in the 2024 Genesis Championship.

The regular DP World Tour season has now concluded with the first of the two Race to Dubai events up next, The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, starting on November 7th at the Yas Links Golf Course.
