US captain Keegan Bradley recently dismissed rumors of Michael Jordan being selected as the vice-captain for the 2025 Ryder Cup. However, he mentioned that the basketball legend would be at Bethpage to offer his insights.

On Monday, July 8, Keegan Bradley was appointed as the new Ryder Cup captain for Team USA. The upcoming edition of the biennial event will be held next year at Bethpage, New York. Following his appointment, strong rumors suggested that Bradley's close friend and sports legend Michael Jordan would join as vice-captain.

In an interview with Sirius XM, Bradley denied Jordan's involvement as his deputy but confirmed Jordan's presence at Bethpage next year.

"So Michael loves the Ryder Cup more than anybody I've ever met," he said. "He's been to everyone. He didnt get to go to Rome but he's been to everyone since like mid 90s and he's not going to be Vice Captain. He's there for me if I need advice on golf, life, Ryder Cup, he's always there.
"He's one of the best friends I can ever have so, you know, I'll use his knowledge as I do for everything but you know, he goes to the Ryder Cup to watch it and he's passionate. He'll be pissed if we lose so like we've got to win this Ryder Cup," he added.

"I’m going to have the 12 best players on the team" - Keegan Bradley dismisses LIV Golf issue

Keegan Bradley has made it clear that he will have the best players in the US Ryder Cup team respective of the circuit they play in.

"I'm going to have the 12 best players on the team," he said as per Sporst Illustrated. "I don’t care where they play. We have a mission to win this tournament. I’m not worried about the LIV stuff. By the time we get to Bethpage in 2025, we have no clue how the layout is going to be."

Last year, the Ryder Cup squad featured Brooks Koepka from LIV Golf, while the rest of the players were from the PGA Tour. However, there were discussions about selecting a few other players from the Saudi-backed circuit, particularly Bryson DeChambeau and Talor Gooch, who were having a strong season.

With over a year until the next Ryder Cup, it will be intriguing to observe the future developments in the selection of the US squad.
