How many Presidents Cup team players are competing in the 2024 Procore Championship?

The 2024 Procore Championship, the first of the eight FedEx Cup fall season events, features a stellar field of well-known PGA Tour players. Ten of the players who will compete at the Presidents Cup will feature in the upcoming PGA Tour event.

Although there will be eleven Presidents Cup players at Silverado Resort next week for the Procore Championship, only ten of them will be playing in the tournament.

The Procore Championship, previously known as the Fortinet Championship, is a regular Tour event with a full-sized field. It will consist of four rounds, starting with the first on Thursday, September 12, and concluding with the finale on Sunday, September 15, at Silverado Country Club in Napa, California.

Both President Cup team captains will be on-site to examine their players' performance. However, US team captain Jim Furyk will not play in the tournament, while International Team captain Mike Weir will compete in the event.

From the US side, Sahith Theegala, who impressed with his game at the Tour Championship, finishing in third place, will return to defend his title at the Procore Championship alongside Max Homa, one of the six captain's picks for the 2024 Presidents Cup, and former US Open winner Wyndham Clark. Additionally, Stewart Cink and Kevin Kisner, the assistant captains of the 2024 US Presidents Cup team, will also be playing at the event next week.

Speaking of the International team, their captain Mike Weir, and vice-captain Camilo Villegas will be playing at the PGA Tour event along with team members including Corey Conners, Min Woo Lee, and Mackenzie Hughes.

The 2024 Presidents Cup has a total of 24 players, 12 players on each team. Six players on both teams were autoqualified based on their performance, while the remaining six were the captain's picks for their respective teams.
