Paige Spiranac recently texted her friend, Samantha Marks, mentioning that a certain golfer had turned hot after undergoing a physical transformation. Samantha then shared the text on social media, turning it into a fun guessing game for fans online.
Spiranac, a former professional golfer, is now a full-time social media influencer with over 4 million followers on Instagram and over a million on X, where she regularly interacts with her fans.
On Tuesday, December 24, Samantha Marks, who works in PR for the TGL, shared a screenshot of Paige Spiranac’s text to her.
"Is ***** now, hot?" the text read.
Along with the screenshot, Marks asked her followers to guess the name Spiranc was talking about.
"I'll send $5 to whoever guesses who Paige Spiranac is talking about. Because I was not prepared to receive this text. 😂😂😂"
While her followers guessed different names, one of them correctly guessed it to be Pat Perez.
The 31-year-old social media personality also responded to the post and stood firmly by her message.
"I told no lies," she replied.
Notably, Perez had undergone a significant physical transformation after shedding a few kilograms and looked completely different from his previous self.
"I just wish this wasn’t public information" - Paige Spiranac reacts to US Ryder Cup squad receiving stipend
Recently, the PGA of America announced that US Ryder Cup players will receive a stipend for competing at the event starting in 2025. However, Paige Spiranac felt it shouldn’t have been announced publicly. She took to X to share her perspective on the matter.
"Players in the Ryder Cup will receive 200k stipend and 300k towards charity," she wrote. "I am not privy to the inside information to know if this is fair or not. Selfishly I love the idea that the pride of representing your country is the driving force in the Ryder Cup not money. But from a business perspective they should be fairly compensated.
"I just wish this wasn’t public information considering all the money conversations surrounding golf right now."
Notably, there have been voices demanding compensation for competing in the Ryder Cup for a long time. During the last edition in Rome, Patrick Cantlay’s decision not to wear a cap was linked to the same demand.
While US players will receive a stipend at Bethpage, European players will continue to compete without any monetary compensation.
