Jon Rahm's LIV Golf team could soon sign a rising European star - REPORT

Jon Rahm's LIV Golf team, Legion XIII, debuted this season and showcased impressive performances. According to reports, it is all set to sign a rising European star for the upcoming season, which starts next month in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

NUCLR Golf shared the news on X. Tom McKibbin, a DP World Tour champion, will join the breakaway league and be a part of Rahm's Legion XIII making a new start to his professional golf journey:

"#NEW: 22-year-old Tom McKibbin is ‘strongly rumored’ to be joining Jon Rahm’s LIV golf team, per @Tengolf. The world #110 from Northern Ireland has 1 win on the DPWT, with a victory coming at the 2023 Porsche European Open."

The Northern Irish golfer had a great season on the DP World Tour in 2024. He finished T10 at the season finale of the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai and registered his only win at the Porsche European Open in 2023.

McKibbin's best finish on the DP World Tour in 2024 came at the Italian Open, where he finished runner-up and narrowly missed the victory. Thus, he could be an asset to Legion XIII, which has prominent names like Tyrrell Hatton, Kieran Vincent, and Caleb Surratt alongside captain Jon Rahm.

The 2025 LIV Golf season will begin on February 6 at Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia. LIV Golf has added a couple of new venues and events, with the tournament moving to South Korea in May and Indianapolis in August.
