Justin Lower treated a fan to a beer after hitting him with a ball at the 3M Open 2024. The sixth edition of the tournament is being played at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota.

Lower hit him on the tee shot in the third round of the 3M Open. The video of the fan being treated to a beer was posted on X (formerly Twitter) by the official PGA Tour handle. In the video, the fan described the incident and said:

"I was walking on the path and got hit in the back of the leg by a ball."

Later, Justin Lower apologized for the mistake and offered the fan to buy a beer which the latter accepted. Later, one of the other fans around him joked:

"Get out of the way next time, dip****!"

While another fan rejoiced:

"Woo, let's go get more drinks!"

Justin Lower scored 4-under 67 in the first round and 3-under 68 in the second to comfortably make the Friday cut. He was tied at 13th after 36 holes. However, the third round didn't go as planned, and he carded a 3-over 74.

Lower started the round with three bogeys on the first, third, and sixth holes and a birdie on the seventh hole on the front nine. On the back nine, he scored a birdie on the 12th and two bogeys on the 16th and 17th holes. He is currently tied for 48th position with an aggregate score of 4-under 209.

Jhonatton Vegas is on the top of the leaderboard with 16-under 197. Matt Kuchar is one shot behind and positioned second. The winner of the tournament will win $1.458 million of the $8.1 million purse.
